Welcome! My name is Dan Edwards. I have been in the moving industry about 10 years, I started at small companies in Edmonton doing everything the hard way and eventually ended up working with a crew who have all been doing this all their lives.
I was lucky to have the opportunity to learn the smart way of doing things from the right Edmonton movers and I am now using that knowledge to provide even better service independently.
The Pro Service Moving Difference
This is not the retail industry. Wal-Mart buys up everything and sells it cheaper and no one can compete with them but in this industry the larger company has astronomically more expenses. They literally charge more and pay their employees less. Small or mid sized Edmonton moving companies are the way to go for several reasons:
- Less advertising, warehousing, and support staff expenses
- Better paid employees
- Better rates
- More personable service
- Generally better ratings and more accountability
- Direct investment in you being happy with your service/bill
Moving should be all independent guys locally as far as I am concerned. Maybe 3 trucks max. The industry would not have such a bad reputation if the men doing the work were the ones making money instead of the people 'selling' the work. Not to mention moving would not be as expensive.
