Moving Companies Edmonton to Calgary and Calgary to Edmonton
Every mover based out of Edmonton or Calgary will do your move in either direction. Big companies, small ones, it's a competitive run due to the volume of people moving back and forth.
Prices will be kind of all over the map, there are a lot of factors involved but these are your basic choices;
(for "who to look out for" see our " Long distance Moving " page about 3/4 down)
van Lines / affiliates
Large companies, national franchises and van lines all work in a similar way. They move back and forth across Canada connecting moves back and forth. A truck will will book a back haul and reduce the rate per pound accordingly for how much travel is on that leg of their trip.
Routes between Edmonton and Calgary are fairly common, they may offer a great flat rate to fill extra space on a truck already heading that way. Most van line affiliated movers will do a good job. If you get a really great price from a United, Amj, Allied or North American affiliated company I would go with them or a very well rated local mover like us.
Timing is not always perfect this way however, and pricing based on weight with a van line may or may not not be your best choice... It's up to you to look at all of your options, both have advantages and disadvantages. For a move less than say 6 or 7 hours away however, we suggest;
Local Movers
We offer flat rates with no surprises based on time instead. The biggest complaint you will hear about long distance moves in media or otherwise is generally when the driver weighs the load, and will not deliver your belongings without signing off on the adjusted price. The advantage of a time charge is that the amount of belongings you have does not affect your bill so drastically. Estimates of weight are not generally high, or the estimated prices would not be competitive enough.
For an explanation of the difference between van lines, long distance movers, local companies and weight vs. hourly rates see;

Getting a time estimated quote is a lot faster and easier than by weight, and there's really nothing to lose.
It's only a quick call or quote form away!
Thank you for visiting my site I hope to hear from you:)
