Why Long Distance Moving Rates to or from Fort McMurray seem unreasonable
Large companies, national franchises and van lines all work in a similar way. They move back and forth across Canada connecting moves back and forth. A truck will will book a back haul and reduce the rate per pound accordingly for how much travel id on that leg of their trip. Fort McMurray is not on a well traveled moving lane. It is straight north of Edmonton, the closest point where multiple moves are coming out of and going to. Because of this, now local companies out of Edmonton can compete with a round trip travel flat rate, based on a lower hourly rate.
Local Movers
We offer flat rates with no surprises based on time instead. The biggest complaint you will hear about long distance moves in media or otherwise is generally when the driver weighs the load, and will not deliver your belongings without signing off on the adjusted price. The advantage of a time charge is that the amount of belongings you have does not affect your bill so drastically. Estimates of weight are not generally high, or the estimated prices would not be competitive enough.

Choosing between price and service
You are going to get quotes all over the map. Our rates will likely not be bottom dollar, but they will certainly not be nearly the most expensive. We offer an honest, great service level at as low as we can go for long distance moves.
Do your research, call at least a couple or few different movers and take care.
Thank you for visiting my site I hope to hear from you:)
